How to use EFT tapping to find Relief from Neck Pain

If you’ve been suffering from neck pain, you’re not alone. Many of us spend hours working at a desk or sitting in a chair for extended periods, which often leads to stiffness and pain.

Most people either push through it or rely on painkillers and physiotherapy. But the pain keeps coming back, doesn’t it? It feels impossible to stay on painkillers forever or keep booking therapy sessions without lasting relief.

This is why I always believe that every disease has an emotional root cause. My belief isn’t random – it’s based on the teachings of Dr. Ryke Geerd Hamer’s German New Medicine (GNM), along with what I’ve learned through EFT tapping and other healing practices.

I am a firm believer in GNM because I have healed many of my own health issues through it.

Once you start exploring GNM, you realize that physical pain often ties back to an unresolved emotional conflict. The challenge, however, is identifying which exact event or emotion triggered it.

That’s where EFT tapping comes in – it helps uncover and resolve the emotional root, so the pain doesn’t just go away temporarily but disappears from its core.

Why Neck Pain Is More Than Just Posture

You might think neck pain is only about posture, stress, or long hours at work. But here’s the question: if posture alone causes it, then why do some people with equally bad posture never suffer from neck pain?

The answer lies in our emotional body. Unexpressed emotions often get stored in our system and eventually manifest as physical pain. What feels like a “problem” is often just the body’s way of signaling that something deeper needs healing.

GNM explains this beautifully: every disease follows a biological conflict and a healing phase. Understanding what conflict triggered your neck pain can be life-changing.

My Own Neck Pain Story

I once had neck pain that only showed up on one side. Strange, right? If bad posture was the reason, then why only one side?

Through GNM, I discovered that this pain was connected to someone – a father figure or a close friend – who had made me feel not smart enough. Their words devalued my knowledge, and my body literally carried that burden in my neck.

Once I worked on that emotional root using EFT tapping, the pain disappeared – and the change happened after just one session.

But let me be clear: it wasn’t “magic in one go.” I had already been doing consistent EFT sessions for months before, clearing other layers of emotional baggage. That groundwork made it possible for the breakthrough to happen in one session.

Many of my clients also see noticeable changes after just 1–2 sessions, but the deeper and older the issue, the more persistence it requires.

A Simple EFT Tapping Approach for Neck Pain

Instead of blindly repeating scripts like “Even though I have neck pain, I completely love and accept myself”, I recommend going deeper. Here’s how you can start:

  1. Measure your pain – Rate the intensity from 0 to 10.
  2. Begin tapping while saying:
  3. “I don’t know why I have this pain. I can’t figure out what event or memory caused it, but I want to find out.”
  4. Let your mind recall the event(s) connected to the pain. Write down what surfaces.
  5. Tap through each emotion tied to that memory (fear, anger, jealousy, insecurity, etc.), rating them from 0 to 10. Keep tapping until each one reduces to as close to 0 as possible.
  6. Be honest with yourself. If you felt jealous, insecure, or “not enough,” admit it. Healing happens only when you acknowledge the truth of your emotions.

Consistency is key – revisit the same event daily until its emotional charge is fully released. Don’t jump from event to event without finishing the earlier ones.

Important Notes

1. Sometimes the pain temporarily increases when you’re tapping on the right issue. That’s a sign you’re on the right track – don’t panic. Take a break, tap gently on the pain itself, then continue later.

2. Chronic issues (like long-term neck or back pain) often come from multiple events stacked together. Clearing them may take time, but each layer you release brings relief.

3. EFT is powerful, but it’s not medical advice. If your pain is unbearable, it’s okay to take medicine or visit a doctor. EFT works best as a supplement, not as a replacement for professional medical care.

A Client Example

A friend of mine once developed sharp neck pain right before a big exam. He admitted he was thinking, “I’m not smart enough to do this.”

Once he acknowledged it and I surrogately tapped for him, the pain dropped from a 9 to a 3/4 in minutes. It returned a couple of days later, which simply meant there were deeper layers of unresolved “not smart enough” conflicts to work through.

This is the nature of chronic pain – it usually comes from more than one root event. That’s why consistent tapping is so powerful.

Final Thoughts

Neck pain isn’t just about your posture. It’s about the unresolved stories and emotions your body is carrying. Once you tap into those and clear them with EFT, the pain doesn’t just reduce – it often disappears for good.

So if you’re tired of endless painkillers and physiotherapy sessions, give EFT a try. It worked for me, it’s worked for my clients, and it can absolutely work for you too.
